Why?

picobuzz is was a web app that extracts current, buzzlike activity from the microblogging network Twitter. In the early days of Twitter this was a somewhat unique service; however, these days there are many websites providing a similar service including:

• Twitter Search
• TwitScoop
• tweetcloud

Due to the competing choices, as well as the increasing challenge of polling the public timeline, I stopped maintaining the site a while ago and now it's (past) time to shut down.

It's been real, but it's time to move on to other projects.
